Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have a lot of things to do than nothing. I just love to work!

BUT, as you can see, there's no way I can do all of this myself, that's where delegating comes into play. This blog post is to give you my insight on why and when do I delegate 90% of the tasks pertaining to PrettiBone.

Rule of Thumb

Generally speaking, I would never delegate a task unless I know how to do the task myself. Only when I know how to do the task myself is when I will be comfortable delegating that task. This is important for a few important reasons.

Delegating a task that I don't know how to do myself leaves room for inefficiencies. In other words, if I don't know how to do it then I can't really critique it. If I'm not able to critique it then I can't measure it. And if I can't measure it then I can't improve on it!

Another reason as to why I need to know how to do everything myself is for me to get a better understanding of who I should delegate the task at hand to. Mix this with my understanding of my staffs' strengths and weaknesses results in a well-oiled machine. For instance, I would not have a staff member who lacks attention to detail take care of my emails.

If You're Alive then Your Time is Ticking...

There's no ands, ifs or buts about it...your time is ticking. This not only goes for life in general but your life as a reseller. Really ask yourself are you wasting your time doing something that you can hand off to someone else to do. Of course, this only makes sense if you can produce more with the freed up time than if you were bogged down by the said task. This goes for EVERYTHING in life; it's called opportunity cost. And to get big, you need to delegate. Keep thinking that you can do everything yourself and you're well on your way to stay the same size, this is the harsh truth. Your 24 hours will never beat a team of 10 with 24 hours themselves, it's just simple math.

The Mental Hurdle

"I don't want to delegate because it cost money" is the biggest mental mistake you can make when it comes to delegating. Of course, it will cost you money, but how much is it really costing you to do something yourself?

A lot of people think they are in charge of their operation, but in reality, their operation is in charge of them. Nobody wants to believe this because it's something called ego. Your ego will tell you that you're always in charge. It will also tell you that you're the best person to do everything for your operation. Really? You don't think there's someone out there that can ship, list, sort just as well as you? Reselling is not neuroscience so please don't complicate things. Take a task, break it down into repeatable steps and hand it off to someone that's capable of doing that task.

Now I'm not going to sit here and act like delegating doesn't cost money, it sure as hell does. I'm just trying to convince you to look at the bigger picture. The picture of you being able to take a vacation and not having to contemplate if you should hit that "Vacation Mode" button. It comes down to trade-offs and making the right ones. This also means that you should also know when NOT to delegate.

When Not to Delegate

There are times when delegation is not an option but luckily, this list is a short one!

Sensitive data

Budgeting issues

Lack of helpers

Haven't reached scale

Leadership is lacking

While these are legitimate reasons as to why you can't delegate, the good thing is that there are always workarounds for all situations but that goes beyond the scope of this post.

When To Delegate

Here are some tell-tale signs that you should consider delegating:

You're finding yourself doing the same repetitive task

You're feeling that the task is holding you back from doing more

You're making more money but you're also working more (this is huge!)

You make more sales (money) from your operation than you can spend on improving your operation

You can break your operation/process down into easy to understand steps

Your sales are increasing every month

While there are definitely more, this is my personal list

Please Note...

I want to leave you with this important point. While I'm a big fan of doing it BIG, I would never want anyone to overextend themselves. I would not want anyone to pay to delegate if it means that they're putting their finances in jeopardy. I say "pay" because money is a direct cost when it comes to delegation unless you have some elves that are willing to work for free. But all jokes aside, please take inventory of your operation and budget carefully before doing so.

Doing this will sometime require a complete overhaul of your current processes. Although this might sound overwhelming, the small price you pay to do such a thing will save you from bigger headaches later on. This post will give you a general idea of how you can think in terms of scale in mind instead of just doing things "just to get by". I say generally because we all might have a different endgame in mind so everyone might absorb this post in their own way. Consequently, this post isn't about exactly how you should scale, it's just to get you into the scaling mentality.

Storage

I'm sure when we all started out on Poshmark with a couple of pieces (1-30), we didn't really pay any mind exactly where the items are stored. We just generally knew where we left the item so when a customer buys something, we kinda had an idea where to find it. But as we add more and more pieces to our closet, things got a little messier and that's when we started to get organized a bit. For example, some of us might opt for bins to store our items (my personal favorite), some would hang the items on racks or even fold the items neatly in a corner according to their type. Whatever you do, just know if you're trying to ramp your inventory up to the 1,000's of units level, you must have a storage system that's ready to grow with you. While a lot of us are limited on space, we should still be thinking about this question because storage issues will stick with you for the entire journey.

Beyond how you store your items, you also have to ask yourself how do you label them for storage. I've talked to some people in the messages, and they've told me that EVERY single one of their items are polybagged with a label displaying a unique code for the item. While I'm not fully opposed to this, I do however think that you might be doing an extra step that's not necessary. However, what I think about this method doesn't matter, what matters is that these people believe that they can scale with this method and that's perfectly fine!

My point is for you to figure out a way to store your items in a way that will make it easy for you to locate and pull the sold item.

Buying Inventory

I was about 6 months into the Poshmark game when I realized there's no way in hell I will be able to buy 1 piece at a time given my sale through rate. In other words, if you're selling more than you can buy, you will never be able to grow. That's when I started to focus 1/2 of my time finding a supplier that would sell me inventory in bulk while the other 1/2 was spent going to the thrift stores and buying pieces 1 at a time. For those of you asking about where I get my clothes from, the reason why I don't disclose it because I paid a big price in terms of time and money to find my suppliers. I'm sure those of you who do have suppliers understands where I'm coming from.

Buying inventory in bulk is imperative to growth. Let me not mince words, I don't care what other's say about you still be successful while buying 1 piece at a time. They're wrong because the success they're talking about is not in the millions. I'm sure you already know my stance but I want to reiterate that I'm not in this game to make a "good" living. I'm trying to go all the way with PrettiBone because the storage unit complex I want is $8 million and the bank is asking for $1 million down, CASH. Again it comes down to how far you want to take this reselling thing, I'm just that girl that will take it to the moon if I have to. And for me to take it there, the right suppliers will have to grow with me as I'm growing.

Listing

You're probably aware by now that you can't sell something online if it's not listed. When I say listing, I mean the entire process of actually washing, steaming, hanging, shooting and listing. While some of these processes are sometimes not required, they still make up listing. If your method only allows you to list 10 items a day, you gotta change it up. Of course, this is only if you want to get bigger. Your listing process needs to be so streamlined that you can pump out more than what you can sell many times over. This means trying something like this out or coming up with your own way to improve your listing process. There's no point in getting a pallet of inventory in while you're listing at the same pace as when you were buying 1 piece at a time. Think about listing in terms of intuitive rather than a hard-wired process. By doing so, listing should almost be effortless because you're not thinking that much about what's next. I know that sounded spiritual and I don't mean for it to but when I'm listing, I sometimes even forget that I'm listing because my processes are so streamlined. Let me give you an example.

Sometimes when I'm listing, I would run across a piece that has a defect that I didn't catch when I was sorting or shooting. While some of us much stop and go reshoot that piece to show the defect, I would have bins laid out for these types of situations. I would just throw the piece into its appropriate bin, so I'll take care of it during my downtime in bulk rather than stopping the whole train for 1 piece. This allows me to list more while worrying about the smaller issue later.

This is just one way that I keep my momentum when listing and is how I'm able to list 100+ items a day when left undisturbed. Run through your listing process and really scrutinize it. Are you spending too much time on something that isn't that important like steaming a piece that's barely wrinkled? Are you not sorting pieces out according to type so you don't have to switch back and forth from one measurement template to another?

Think in Terms of 1 to 1,000,000

Do not take the headline of this section literally. What I mean is for you to ask yourself, will this method be obsolete as I get bigger? If so, when? If the answer is really soon, then you need to switch your method and process. Don't hang on to a certain style just because you feel comfortable with it because it might smother you as you get bigger. Switch to a style that will not only allow room for growth but actually encourage it! For example, if you're listing faster than what you have on hand, then it would encourage you to find a new sourcing method. Conversely, if you're getting more inventory in than you can list, then it will force you to find a faster more effective way to list.

I hope this post gets you to think about how big you want to get and if your current process, procedures a style will accommodate for such growth. Again, this will be different for everyone, but don't lie to yourself and think that you're already employing the best tactics because you're probably wrong. Please don't let your overconfidence harm you.

Lastly, I have to mention this post is for resellers that are interested in growth. This isn't for the dabblers.

Selling on Poshmark creates anxiety for a lot of people because they're probably wondering if what they're doing is increasing their chances of making more sales. Unfortunately, to know all the ins and outs of Poshmark would require the knowledge of Poshmark's algorithm. A few of us claim that we know the algorithm but I think those people are delusional. Although I'm not privy to the algorithm myself, I do however understand logic.

You're Not Asking the Right Questions

I've had so many people ask me in the comments section "how many times do you share your closet a day?" I assume they're asking this because my closet is relatively big compared to most (8,200+ active listings). The problem with this question is that it's a loaded question. They're assuming that I share EVERY item in my closet. The better question they should be asking is "what items do you share from your closet?" The truth is, I do not share my entire closet, there's just no way I can do that effectively due to number of items. And since sharing more items requires more time, which is a finite resource, I had to get smarter with my sharing. By smarter, I had to pick and choose which items to share rather than just sharing the entire closet. This technique, however, does not just work for larger closets (1000+ items), it also works and makes sense for smaller closets.

Not All Sharing is Created Equal

When you take a look at your Poshmark closet, do you really think all of your items have the same chances of being sold? I hope you can be objective enough to realize that some of your items are better than others. If that's the case then why would you spend your time sharing items that have a lower chance of selling? Sure you might feel good knowing that you gave that subpar item its fair amount of exposure, but you're wasting time in the process of doing so.

Let's look at this using a real-life example. When you're walking through the mall, notice the items that are on display in the front-facing windows. Do you think random items are on display or do you think the retailers put the more attractive items that have the highest chances of getting you (the customer) in the door? I hope this is starting to make more sense. In this example, the retailer only has a finite amount of window space (this is analogous to your finite time) so they're only going to display items they feel will have the highest conversion (you actually entering the store). And when you're in their store, only then will you sell all of their other offerings. So if this logic works in real life, then why would it not also work with your Poshmark closet?

What I'm saying is for you to only share items that have the highest chances of people clicking into your closet. From there, they can roam around for more stuff to buy that wasn't "on display". This right here is a huge reason why I get as many bundles as I do.

Sure, it Looks Nice...But What Else?

Some of you stay away from this selective sharing method because you want your closet to "flow". You want your closet to be in a certain order, whether it's by category, sex or color, so it can look nice. Hate to break it to you but there's a filter menu for that very purpose. Go to any e-commerce website and let me know if they present their items in the same way as you do. That same amount of time you're wasting to make your closet flow could be better spent on learning about your closet to understand which items have a better conversion.

I say this because to employ the selective sharing method, you're closet will be all over the place, but like I said there are filters for that very purpose.

How Do I Know What Items to Share?

The answer is I don't know because I don't have your closet right in front of me to know what I'm dealing with. I would have to know your products and how they rank amongst one another to point out the ones that should be shared. Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer.

Where To Start

Every one of my Valet clients can probably guess by now that I do not share EVERYTHING from their closet. My team will spend up to an entire week scrolling here and there through their account to get a better grasp of what they're selling AND what they've sold. While this can be time-consuming, we believe it's worth it considering all the time we'll save from not sharing low conversion items in the future.

Taking a look at your closet and scroll through the ENTIRE thing, don't be lazy about this part. Now ask yourself if you are shopping on Poshmark, what items will pop out to you. Consider variables such a picture quality, price, and even brand. This is where you should start and write down as many notes as you need. Again, this boring task will save you so much time in the future when you know your closet well enough that selective sharing just becomes intuitive.

Go give it a shot, thank me later.

This post is for Poshers that want to build something substantial. If you're just "dabbling", this post isn't for you.

With all that money you're making on Poshmark or any other reselling platform, really ask yourself what you're going to do with the money. Squandering it on material items, being a responsible adult and putting it toward bills or reinvesting everything back into your Poshmark operation are just a few ideas. No matter what you do, just understand your choices today will play itself out fully in the future.

Why I Reinvest EVERYTHING

Compounding is why I reinvest everything that I make right back into my Poshmark operation. There's nothing more that I want than for PrettiBone to be at full scale. This means reaching $1,000,000 a year in clothing sales, an embroidery and a DTG printing division, the Valet service to have at least 100 clients and for PrettiBone to have its own clothing line. All of these audacious goals takes a lot of time, work and money but I'm willing to see the whole thing through. To me, this means putting everything I make from PrettiBone right back into Prettibone to accelerate the process. In other words, I'm trying to condense 10 years of growth down to 5 or less to make these goals a reality. August 24, 2019 marks my first year on Poshmark, so I have about 4 years left to make this happen. That's why I have such a no BS approach and a an endless amount of energy for this PrettiBone project.

This Is Where The Hate Comes In

I'm sure there are some people out there that think I'm only able to put everything back into my business because I have a primary source of income. If you don't know already, I'm a Union Hairstylist for TV in Hollywood. These people look at this as an advantage, but what they don't understand is that this just means I have another responsibility to juggle. If they're doing Poshmark full-time, they're not seeing that they're the ones that have an unfair advantage over me as far as time goes. Because I understood at the beginning that I'll have less time than those that do Poshmark full-time, I knew I had to build a system that can work while I'm at work. This is EXTREMELY difficult to do by the way, please don't just brush past that. And when I'm off of work, you can bet that I'm diving right in to catch up on what I missed out on. I even as far as to write my blogs, make social media content or even list items using the drafts when I have free time at work.

I had to say this because some weak-minded people will feel I'm only able to put everything I make from Poshmark back into Poshmark because my full-time job in Hollywood is funding my life. They're saying it as if the money I make doesn't come from me actually working. At the end of they day, these people need to respect the fact that I haven't taken a dime from my Poshmark earnings. But at the end of the day, these people can make all the excuses they want, I'll keep on trucking on.

Back to the Topic at Hand

When it comes to your Poshmark earnings, it's ultimately up to you to decide where you want to spend it. If you're living off of your earnings, spend only what you need and reinvest everything else back. If you have another job that can pay for your expenses, use this position to reinvest EVERYTHING back into your operation. And if you're making money just to spend on frivolous things, just understand you're robbing yourself of an opportunity to expand your current operations. Don't fall into the "making money just to spend it mentality". There's no way in hell I could've saved up $15,000 for an embroidery machine that will make me tens of thousands in the future if I would've spent my reselling profits. More inventory, better equipment and a warehouse is what I spent my money on and if you see it any differently, I just know we probably won't get along in real life as far as reselling goes.

This is the part where I would usually say "all of this is just my opinion" but I'll refrain from doing so because I know what I just said are facts. If you felt that was too harsh, maybe you need to read the very first sentence of this post again.

Again, at the end of the day, it's up to you to decide how you want to spend the money you earned. Just don't be surprised if you're in the same place with no growth a year from now just because you made short-term choices. Really, it just comes down to basic wealth-building strategies, there's nothing complicated about what I just said.

Lastly, I'm not your mama but I'll leave you with this...

"You worked your ass off for your profits, now make your profits work for you"

Dani

To say this post is a highly requested one is an understatement. This post is important because many of you are holding back your money by not sourcing for clothes to sell that are not in the appropriate season. For example, you might stay away from heavy jackets because we're in the middle of the summer. From my personal experience and using a little of logic, I think this belief is completely bogus. Let me explain.

Let's Look at this Logically

Here are a few reasons why you should not shun away from buying clothing that are not season appropriate.

1. They might be on sale! The places you're getting your inventory from might be having a sale on winter clothes since we're right in the middle of summer.

2. Just because it's cold/hot where you're at doesn't mean it's cold/hot where your customers are at. This isn't about you, remember that. Even though I live in California where the sun don't stop for nobody, some folks in Washington might be experiencing gloom and rain for months out of the year.

3. People always buy clothes just to store it for when the time is right. I'm sure you do the same

4. People will buy if the price is right! Nobody can pass up a nice North Face jacket if it's at the right price no matter the season.

5. Other people don't always dress like you do. How often do you see someone wearing a beanie on a scorching day? I know it makes no sense to you but it does to them. Again, it's not about you.

6. If the majority of sellers believes you shouldn't be selling non season appropriate clothing but you are, then congratulations, you're going to be 1 of the few suppliers in the market.

If the 6 reasons above are not enough to convince you to buy out of season clothes to sell, I don't know what will. Really guys, if you're a seller, then sell! I'm not telling you to go out there and grab everything to sell, I'm just suggesting that you tone down your sourcing filters a bit when it comes to clothes that are not appropriate for the season. If you see a really nice bikini set during the winter time, top and give it a fair assessment. Don't breeze right past it because I'll be the person that will pick it up right where you left it.

My Experience

Needless to say, I myself have sold many items that are not "season appropriate". My closet as everything from winter jackets to bikinis, and they all sell. I don't know what the stats on this matter is but I really don't care because I'm basing my opinion on real-world experience. This myth is almost on par with the one about inventory quantity and I'm here say they're both bogus.

One last thing...just because something doesn't sell for someone doesn't mean it won't sell for you. How many times have you seen people in the comments saying "this doesn't sell for me" while another person's experience contradicts that same statement?

At the end of the day, find what works for you and don't take anyone's words as gospel. I know I don't and it has worked wonders for me.

With Poshmark, there will be times when you don't want to get in the game. This is a huge mistake that many of us probably make due to the excuses we make up in our minds. This post will dive deeper into why it's imperative you show up EVERY single chance you get.

You Can't Win If You're Not Present

On the surface, it makes total sense that you cannot win if you're present and playing. Every day counts and we're not getting any younger. If you want more sales, show up and list. If you made sales, show up and ship. If you want a bigger supply of inventory, get out there and find things to sell! And if you're lucky enough to have a team, don't count on them to show up for you, show up for yourself. This ties in with one of my core beliefs that CONSISTENCY will make your reselling dreams a reality on Poshmark or any other platform.

I've lived this advice for the past 11 months now and there's no way you're going to catch me on the sidelines if I can help it. If something needs to get done, I want need to be there. If there's nothing to do, then find something to do. But let's be real, there's always something to do! This reselling journey is a marathon so don't think you will make it by cherry-picking what days you want to show up and what days you want to go into your shell.

Separate yourself from the mediocre crowd by making it a point to always get up, get dressed and add value to your reselling business. Not doing so will eventually build poor habits and you'll wonder why you're not where you want to be.

Count Down From 5

If there's ever a day when you don't feel like showing up, just count down from 5 and GO! If you're in your bed, try this technique, it truly works! Slow sales or no sales will happen and it can get really demotivating, I've been there. Again, just count down from 5 and start doing something to take your mind off of the rut. It's amazing how much your incremental growth will have when everything is added up. If you can even pump out just 1 more thing a day, whether it's a listing, picture or new item, you're adding 365 more growth units by the end of the year!

Another day that goes by without you showing up is a loss that you're going to have to live with. Nobody will know but you will. Get up, get dressed, SHOW UP and do something!

Not everyone makes sales every day or even every week. Not everyone has the same sourcing opportunities. And lastly, not everyone will make it out of this reselling game successfully. It's depressing to think about because I know how bad everyone wants to make it, trust me, I used to be there.

I Know the Struggle

When I first started, not a lot of things made sense to me about Poshmark. Where were these people getting all of these clothes to resell? How are they able to find all these gems from the Goodwill Bins? How is this person able to sell this piece for this much but mine sold for only a fraction of what theirs sold for? The more I thought about it, the more I became frustrated at myself for not picking up on what these people were doing right. It really came to the point where I was about to liquidate everything and play in another sandbox.

Believe me, I know what the struggle feels like when it comes to reselling. What kept me in the game was my desperation. I was desperate to find something that will make me financially stable in the long run--I'm sure that's what most of us are here for. For those of you that are feeling that you're not getting any traction on your reselling journey, understand that it's doable, I'm living proof of it. It won't be easy but by following a few principles, I promise you will make it. When I say "make it" I'm not talking about 2-4 sales a day, I'm talking about $1000+ a day.

Why Not You?

Let's put something into perspective, I must warn you first that this will get brutal. I believe that when it's all said and done, only 1 out of probably 1000 Poshmark accounts can truly be considered successful. This means that those accounts are operating at a level where a lot of sales are happening rain or shine. This also means that many of us won't make it, I know, it sucks. BUT here's the good news, those 1 accounts out of 1000 are not predetermined! This means that you can be that 1 account, it comes down to how bad you want it. And for those that are thinking "success is what you decide it to be", you're totally missing the point and will never be able to reach your full potential. No person that has built a big business has ever uttered those words because they know success is bigger than what they can comprehend at that current time. In other words, we all have way more room to grow than what we think is possible. THIS is the beauty in all of this!

*If you're wondering, I'm basing the 1000 number off of all the accounts I've clicked on and mentally inventoried. Yes, I do a lot of scouting and research.

I'm Barely Warmed Up

A lot of people on social media have given me so many praises for what I've done in the last 11 months but the truth is, I still don't consider myself a success story, yet. I don't say that to be bashful, I just truly mean it. I will only take possession of that 1 account out of 1000 status when my endgame is realized. This will require me to eventually move into a 50,000+ square foot warehouse for me to operate at full scale.

Lastly...

I want to leave you with this...

If you are currently feeling that you're not growing and are not getting any sales, understand that A LOT of people are in the same boat (I receive too many Private Messages for me not to know this by now). Don't let social media tell you differently. The filtered photos of their perfect reselling lives don't fool me and I hope you feel the same. Understand that feeling lost is part of the journey, the trick is not to be lost forever. Learn new techniques, put your ego to the side and take advice from people that are inspiring you and lastly, don't forget that this marathon will eventually end. The last part is bitter-sweet because knowing that there's an expiration date to all of this will motivate you even more. For me it will be about 5 years before I move onto something new but who knows what the future holds.

I want to lastly thank you to take the time to read this post, this is one of the more important ones I've written.

Now go kill that damn death pile.

The funny part is, everyone thinks they get to decide which one out of the two they are. The problem with that is EVERYONE can claim they're a serious reseller, and they would be right if we're going off of that standard. Hopefully, you caught the major flaw with this way of thinking.

The Market Got You Covered

You don't need to call yourself a serious reseller or a hobbyist, the market will take care of that for you. No matter how much you call yourself self-employed, boss, Poshboss or any other related moniker, the market doesn't care. Again, the market will let you know who you are. This means if your work ethic is mediocre, the market will give you mediocre sales. If you only list when you can, the market will only give you sales when it can. YOU CAN'T DICTATE WHAT THE MARKET WILL LABEL YOU AS. The most important part is, the market is never wrong, ever.

Quit Making it Complicated

It's quite simple, work your ass off on Poshmark or any other reselling platform for that matter, and the market will reward you. Make sure you buy the right items at the right price and consistently list with good listing practices. If you're looking for the silver bullet, that was it. I'll keep this short to prove my point of how easy it is to win over the market.

Your words won't win this argument of whether you're a serious reseller or a hobbyist, your actions will.

It's really simple, you can't sell what you didn't list, duh! While some people choose to list less for whatever reason, I choose to make it my number 1 concern when it comes to my day-to-day activity as a reseller. With that being said, I realized yesterday I was looking at this all wrong. Maybe I wasn't listing because I wanted the inventory to get sold, maybe I was motivated by something totally different this whole time.

Pressure

Pressure is a funny thing because it really exposes you. When you think you can't do anymore, pressure will be the judge of that. The most interesting thing about pressure is its ability to conceal itself so well that you might even call it something totally different. With that said, I came to an epiphany yesterday that what I thought was motivation this whole time was actually pressure in disguise. I thought that having more sales was the driving force behind why I list so much, but I was totally wrong. I came to the conclusion that having a lot of unlisted inventory was the pressure behind why I list as much as I do. If you're wondering, I currently have about 1,500 pieces of unlisted inventory but, you guessed it, I'm still buying.

"What I thought" is a popular way that most of us see our operation. "What I realized" is the reality of things and really brings to the surface a new way of looking at listings.

So What's the Takeaway

Pressure, more specifically the pressure of having too much inventory in the death pile, should be the driving force behind listing more, not sales. Sales is something you can't control for the most part, while having a lot of unlisted inventory is something that you're fully in control of. I don't know about you but, I would rather be in control than not. By having more and more inventory in your unlisted pile, you will find the motivation to list more, or at least I do. Put differently, sales is not the driving factor behind me wanting to list more, having too much unlisted inventory is. Just look at more sales as the byproduct of having too much unlisted inventory.

Careful Now

This new paradigm will only work if you are a seller that thrive off of pressure. If you're not, I would stay away from this way of thinking completely because a mountain of unlisted inventory that will never get listed will be the result. However, if you're a person like me who feeds off of pressure then KEEP BUYING. Another word of caution is to only buy inventory that you can sell; don't just mindlessly buy everything!

Don't look at this like an "Eat, Love, Pray" style of doing things because you're going to go broke doing so. Just think of it as a "controlled madness".

Buy as much as you can, whenever you can (at a great price of course). Trust me, this will light a fire on your ass to list more because you'll be super motivated to chop down the tree that you planted.

I'm just encouraging you to get to a level where a return case, or two, won't phase you.

What Happened Today

2 cases were opened against me today. Whenever I do receive a case, it's only just 1 per day max, so I guess today was a special day. Understand no matter how well or accurate your listing and description were written, there will always be people opening cases against you, obviously. If something like an open case ruins your day or even your hour, I think it's because you're looking at it the wrong way.

The Way I See It

Like I stated above, open cases WILL happen, nobody is immune to it. After more than 3,000 items sold, I believe I had about 16 cases that we're brought up against me, some of which were legitimate and totally my fault. While I did win about half of those cases, I didn't really care at the end of the day because it's about perspective.

The way I see it, I just have to work hard enough to where the consistent sales just make you not even care about cases when they do happen. That's not to say don't defend yourself if you're in the right, I'm just saying that you can't please everyone. Understanding that combined with the consistency of your sales will make you realize that it's just the cost of doing business. Just state your side of the argument and let Poshmark settle it how they want to settle it and move on.

I guess the trick here is how do you get to that point to where cases don't bother you. Simply put, that's not for me to answer and for you to figure out for yourself. What I can say is you'll know when you're in a good place when cases don't affect you.

Back-2-Back Case Champ!
